Due: Sunday 2/27/11 by no later than 11:59pm
1. Having enough rest, rewriting the chapter, studying in your sleep, Establish something to bring the material together.
ReplyDelete2. Getting enough rest is very important so that your brain can rest and you can be more focused.
The first two types of studying were the do not do studying techniques. The first one is speed reading where a person reads a passage as fast as they can. This does not work because comprehension goes down. The second type of learning is trying to learn in a person's sleep. The book says that a person only learns in proportion to how awake they are.
ReplyDeleteThe book then goes on to say that the best way to learn something is to write it down in a person's own words. It also says to take a break after about 30 minutes of studying.
I think that the one that works the most for me is that I take a break after so much studying. This helps me to get reenergized so that I can study better.
1.) - write a sypnosis of every two or three paragraphs of the chapter you are studying.
ReplyDelete- Sleep/rest.
- Establish some principle that brings the chapter you are studying together.
2.) I usually try to relate something I always remember to what I'm studying which helps me during test taking and remebering.
1.) studying in your sleep, Writing a synopsis, getting enough sleep, and find something that tie's the matarial together.
ReplyDelete2.) Just paying attention in class, getting enough sleep, and doing my own homework.
The techniques for studying in the passage include, getting enough rest, finding something that ties the material together, writing a synopsis of the information in your own words, and studying in your sleep.
ReplyDeleteThe strategy that has been the most effective for me is getting enough rest. It allows my brain to be rested and perform for the day.
1.)First you shouldn't speed read. Reading fast doesnt help. Another don't is that you shouldn't use a tape in your sleep. All it's going to do is disturb your sleep. you learn only in proportion to how awake you are. You can write a synopsis in your own words ever two to three paragraphs. Review your synopsis and revise your notes. Keep these "mini notes in a seperate note book for later. A humans attention span is only about 30 minutes so when you can't figure something out go do something else and it will come to you. Also change the subject your working on every 30 minutes or so. Last review your notes.
ReplyDelete2.)Color coordinating my notes has been a big help this year. Also getting it through my head that i need to study and not stopping every ten minutes because im bored has really helped too. Also knowing that we have a test like a week in advance helps alot too. I gives me time to study with my test anxiety. Going to bed at an earlier time really helps too.
1) One of way of learning is to write a synopsis while reading, also resting the brain will help you learn to read better. You can also change your habits, so you don't zone off you can.
ReplyDelete2) The a/e/ffective way for me is to change my habits while learning, which includes singing or tapping my foot to keep me awake.
Study in your sleep, writing the chapter in your own words, get plenty of sleep, and find something that ties the material together. I dont really study...but if i was to study i guess i would choose something to tie the materials together so i learn them better.
ReplyDeleteThere are several different ways to learn. A few of the ways are to write a summary of the material you want to learn, sleep on the problem, take frequent breaks, keep similar subjects apart from each other, and finally tie the material together.
ReplyDeleteOne strategy that has been sucessful for me has been craming. I work better under pressure, and i focus more when i know i need to. Also flash cards have helped me learn because they repeat it, and help me memorize it.
writing synopsis for every few paragraphs. study for 30 minutes and perform a different activity for ten, than reapeat. change what you study every 30 minutes.
ReplyDeletespend 30 minutes for studying and then do a different activity. works for me cause i usually lose my interest after a few minutes.
Write a synopsis of what you are learning. Read at a comfortable reading speed. And get rest before school.
ReplyDeleteI re-write my notes. This sometimes helps me. But to really study I just have to pay attention in class.
writeing reading reviewing a synopsis and social learning by coppying actions
ReplyDeletemy best is social learning by imitation
sleep is important, read at a comfprtable reading speed, and write synoposis and the end of chapters
ReplyDeletego over the material till i feel i have it learned, and srudy nights before the test instead of the night before
1. review ur synoposis, note anything that isnt clear and go back to the text to clarify your point, revising ur notes.
ReplyDelete2. i think the best studying habbits for me are to have your book or noted with you as you do an assignment because i learn the right way. some people like to do it on there own then check it later..i like to make sure im right before i even write anything down that way im note getting anything messed up.
Getting anough sleep, wrighting a synopsis in your own words roughly two to three paragraphs of the chapter, read at a comfortable speed.
ReplyDeleteI usualy try to read over my notes and re-read the whole chapter, and sometimes really studying my notes, also get alot of sleep before the quiz or test. This sometimes works for me i study but when it comes to taking the quiz or test i forget what i studied.
Techniques such as studying for 25 to 30 minute intervals, then taking a 10 minute break to rest your brain, then studying again. Another method is trying to listen to audio tapes while sleeping.
ReplyDeleteStudying several times with breaks in between study times works for my memorization.
